Welcome to GHARC

Grays Harbor Amateur Radio Club (GHARC) is a nonprofit social club dedicated to Amateur Radio. We provide social and technical support and training for all levels of Amateur Radio enthusiasts.

Business meetings are held at 19:00 local on the first Thursday of each month in the Hoquiam Public Library first floor meeting room located nearest their parking lot. Auxilury events and training are scheduled on a month and a half to two months interval in convenient locations throughout the community.

Extra Class Licensing Course:

Starting: January 20,2010 approximaely 10 to 12 weeks
Time: Wednesdays from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
Materials: ARRL Extra Class Theory Book and The FCC Rules and Regulations Book
Where: Dist #13 Fire Station, 13375 Cloquallum Rd. Elma, Wa 98541
(note: this is about 8 miles down Cloquallum Road towards Shelton from Elma)

Dave Brooks (N7HT) is teaching this class. He is the one that taught the Extra Course that I took when I was preparing to upgrade to my General Class and Extra Class License. He covers the entire Extra Class material and you should be well prepared to upgrade at the end of the course.
